This pressure showed up in our recent reports too. 66% of CFOs in North America said they do not have full control over company transactions¹. Most report being only somewhat confident in their controls, which becomes increasingly risky as transaction volume and geographic complexity grow. In the UK, only 21% of CFOs said they were very confident in their expense controls, while 79% said they did not have full control over company transactions3

  1. FX volatility and margin pressure

FX exposure begins when a commercial commitment is made, not when a payment is executed. Supplier contracts, overseas payroll, and international subscriptions all introduce currency risk early.
