How do I open an account?

It’s easy as 1-2-3:

• Register. If you’re keen to get started straight away, simply register online OR if you’ve got a question leave your details and an OFXpert will be in touch within 24hrs. Either way, there’s no cost or obligation to make a transfer.
• Speak to us. An OFXpert will call you to complete setup and answer any questions you have.
• Verify your identity. We may ask you to provide us with information to verify your identity or your money transfer needs. Once approved, you will be able to transfer

How long does a money transfer take?

80% of all major currency transfers are completed within 1 business day of OFX receiving your funds. For more exotic currencies, it can take a little longer – usually 3-5 business days.

How do I know there are no hidden fees?

For US, EU, UK and Singaporean clients you enjoy $0 OFX fees on transfers regardless of transfer size. A US$25 fee applies for USD to USD transactions.

Small OFX fees may apply for transfers for clients from other countries. For example:
∙ If you are an Australian client there is an AU$15 fee if you’re transferring under AU$10,000;
∙ If you are a New Zealand client there is a NZ$12 fee if you’re transferring under NZ$10,000;
∙ If you are a Canadian client there is a CA$15 fee if you’re transferring under CA$10,000; and
∙ If you are a Hong Kong client there is a HK$60 if you’re transferring under HKD$50,000.

Actual OFX fees charged will be quoted before you make your transfer. Occasionally third-party intermediary banks may deduct a fee from your transfer before paying your recipient. This fee may vary, and OFX receives no portion of it.

Does my recipient / creditor need an OFX account?

No, they don’t. OFX sends the money straight to your recipient’s bank account.

Is my money secure?

With our highly regulated global network, advanced fraud detection, and hands-on OFXperts, you can feel confident in moving money globally with OFX.

Can I track my transfer?

Once you have requested the payment, the status of the payment will be updated in CargoWise at every step of the global money transfer process.

Will OFX payments appear in my CargoWise Accounts Payable?

Once accepted by OFX, the payment status will update to “ACP- Accepted” in CargoWise

Which currencies can I make a transfer in with OFX?

Lots. OFX can support with transfers in 50+ currencies (and counting). Along with all the major global currencies, OFX have a wide range of exotic currencies to choose from.
